The New Wilton Road Pump Station was designed and built to complement the surrounding Westport residential community and completely replaced the former pump station. The new facility increased the peak water supply capacity to 11 MGD by the means of three (3) 500 HP centrifugal pumps. During a power outage, the pump will continue to stay on-line due to the new 1,250 KW diesel-fueled electrical generator, which is capable of operating two pumps.
