22 MGD state-of-the-art Water Treatment Facility using
many new technological advances in water treatment.
The plant is the first in Connecticut to utilize ozone
disinfection in its treatment process. The project
included deep bed granular activated carbon filters,
a four million gallon clear-well structure, and full sludge
handling facility. Complete abatement and demolition
of the existing treatment facility was included in the
scope of work.
