C. H. Nickerson & Company, Inc. worked with Gilbane
Building Company and Fletcher Thompson Architects to
complete the addition to the existing campus using
architectural details and products that blended in with
the adjacent facilities. The design called for face brick,
cast stone, and architectural precast concrete all
combined to create a gothic style when completed.
100,000 face brick, 515 pieces of handset cast stone,
and 160 pieces of precast concrete were used in the
structure. Nickerson took the precast concrete from
design concept to finished product by designing all the
precast connections, panel spacing, precast sizes, and
erection sequences necessary to deliver the project on time. |
